The holidays are over; hopefully you had a fantastic time with family and friends, relaxed in a home larger than your dorm room and ate food other than cafeteria food. As you head back to campus and prepare for a strong second semester it is important to make sure your living space is set up to reinforce productivity, organization, a good night’s rest and of course, a fresh start.
To guarantee 2012 to be a success we will give you all the tips you need in order to make life clutter free! You can then focus on more important things, like making the Dean’s List
Limit your Facebook usage to 20 minutes a day and stick to it. It is more important to study microbiology than nonsense status updates that your friends are constantly posting. Your professor is not going to quiz you on where your friend Jenny had lunch.
Put your stash of DVDs in a closed closet. This way you will not be tempted to watch the entire series of The OC for the third time this week.
If reading for fun is your guilty pleasure, allow yourself 30 minutes of reading per day. Make that your study break/ breath of fresh air.
Clear everything off your desk and pitch the unimportant things; scraps, old notes, old syllabi- anything that is likely to cause a distraction and prevent you from scoring big this semester.
Make a schedule for the week.
-When will you study?
-When do you have work?
-When are your classes?
-Any meetings this week?
-When will you hit the gym?
-When will you make/ eat meals?
A GOOD NIGHT’S REST
Wash all your bedding! Start the semester with fresh linens. In case this is the first time you are ever washing your bedding, here is the how to, although we hope that’s not the case!
Check out that mattress pad you swore you wouldn’t need. It will definitely take care of that crick in your neck that you have had for the past couple of months.
A FRESH START
If all of the above tips are carried out then we guarantee a FRESH START!
