Sunny Study Tips

Keeping studious while the sun still shines can be a huge problem when autumn quarter rolls around.  The smell of sun tan lotion still lingers in the air.  Nobody’s quiet ready to trade the swimsuit for a backpack or spend their weekends at that one place.  What’s it called? – Ah yes, the library.  College kids aren’t ready for the front yard all day parties to be over just yet, but the time has come.  Classes are back in session, professors are assigning papers full force and smooth sailing is over.  It doesn’t have to be all bad Here are a couple pick- me up study tips to barrel through that Thursday afternoon study session.

Create the ultimate “Study Playlist” in order to tune out all excitement around you and get down to business.  Some suggestions:

It’s probably best if you do most of your studying at the library or in a quiet room at a desk, but it’s understandable if you just can’t bear to walk the three blocks or it’s ugly and rainy outside.  So if your going to sit on the floor or your bed to study make sure you have the necessary support for your back.  You’ll be surprised how fast the hours can fly when you’re groovin’ to your “study playlist”, slurping down your fun drink, and flying through the 15 page study guide your finance professor was so kind to share with you!  That afternoon study session can easily turn into 7 or 8 hours sitting on the floor.  So get a reading wedge pillow to take some of the tension out of your back.  It will be greatly appreciated the next day when you have to sit in class for 5 hours!

If by chance you get a peak outside and your mind suddenly starts to wander because you see the end of summer/ Autumn sun shinning bright, quickly Google images of a sever thunder storms or winter blizzards to get yourself back into studious mode.
