Dressed for Success!

Throw a party that is guaranteed to leave people talking for the next month or even better the next four years.  Themed parties add a little spice to the night.  It forces guests to step out of their comfort zone which usually brings entertainment to the others.  It’s college, themed parties are a must.  When else are you and your friends going to be able to dress absurdly for no apparent reason?

Toga Party:  A toga party is an absolute college classic. The attire simply requires taking the bed sheet off your mattress and watching this video on how to tie a toga.  What would college be if you didn’t experience at least one “Toga, Toga, Toga” chant!

Tight and Bright: Wear anything that is tight and bright.  The tighter and brighter the better! Pull from your own closet and borrow clothes from friends to create a fun and ultimately tight and bright outfit.  This one is funny especially when the guys have to dress in tight and bright clothing.

ABC party: Anything But Clothes.  This doesn’t have to be as scandalous as it sounds.  Guidelines- wear anything that isn’t considered clothing.  Guests have used caution tape, duck tape, wrapping paper, post-its; the ideas are endless.  Be creative!

Rubik’s Cube: The rules require everyone to wear solid color clothing that is white, red, blue, orange, green, and
yellow.  At the party find people that you can exchange clothing with.  The goal is to have an entire outfit of a single color by the end of the night.  Just a couple reminders, wear clothing that
you don’t mind loosing and accessories make the swapping easier.

Breakfast at Tiffany’s: This is a night filled with class.  Ladies whip out those pearl necklaces and LBDs (little black dresses).  Gentlemen dress in your classiest attire.  For an added twist, ladies, come to the party with your name written on a disposable pearl necklace.  Put them in a bowl at the start of the party the gentlemen all pick a pearl necklace out of the bowl, the owner of the pearls is their date for the evening.

Number party: The host of the party chooses a number and then has all guests dress as anything that correlates to the chosen number.  This can include a TV show, an album, an area code or a time in history.  If the number has you stumped type it into Google and see what you can come up with.

Black light: All guests wear a plain white tee shirt that they don’t mind getting ruined.  Switch out regular light bulb for a black light bulb (purchased at a hardware store).  The fun begins when the highlighters come out.  Guests write on each others shirts and when the lights are turned on everyone will be able to see the artwork and writings on each others shirts.

Mustache party: All attendees have to wear a mustache, ladies this includes you!  There is a variety of mustaches that can be donned try the handlebars or even a milk mustache! “Stache” can be stuck, drawn or glued!  Only rule- Must be sporting a mustache to gain entry to the party.
